HOW CAN PARENTS GET INVOLVED?
CHAPERONING
Help organize and direct students during practices, competitions, football games, parades, fundraising events, and other performances. Duties include providing water and snacks, providing bandages or ice as needed, monitoring an assigned group, and helping keep students safe. This is a great way to spend time with students, see them in action! Chaperones must have current Volunteer Registration Clearance on file with RCS.
WAYS AND MEANS TEAM
Come help feed the masses! The Hospitality group plans and coordinates meals for staff for Band Camp and Saturday practices as well as Friday night pizza dinners for the band students before home games. Throughout the year, this committee coordinates requests for donations for refreshments and provides set-up and clean-up for the performance and concerts. Lastly, we plan Senior Week activities in the Fall and Spring, and hosts the end-of-year Band Banquet.
UNIFORMS
It takes a dedicated team to transition 40+ teenagers from T-shirts and shorts to show-ready uniforms for competitions and football games! This group consists of parents and friends of the band that help with getting the students properly sized for their uniforms, dressed at competitions and events, as well as keeping the uniforms clean and organized during the season. This is a great way to spend time with students, see the show up close and personal and bond with others who have an interest in the band.
FUNDRAISING
Funds are continually needed to manage long-term costs associated with the band that are not covered by Fair Share payments. This group plans and coordinates community fundraisers such as Spirit Nights and car washes, concessions at games etc.
BULLDOG ROADIES/PIT CREW
The Ram Roadies assist students of the Front Ensemble and the Prop Committee in moving instruments, podiums, and props to and from the field at competitions and football games. Roadies also coordinate the trucks/semi-trailer at away competitions supervise and assist students with loading and unloading before and after each trip.
FIRST AID
Are you a good caretaker? Then this is the spot for you! We work with other committees to plan and coordinate first aid assistance for our students for all band events. This includes attending to students as needed, as well as managing provisions and first aid supplies.
HISTORIAN
If you enjoy taking pictures at events, we would love to have you on this committee. Photos from band performances, practices, football games, competitions, and concerts are all compiled and used on the Band website, Facebook and other social media pages, Trinity High School yearbook, and banquet presentations. Our goal is to include every student and to get a fair representation of all band members and activities.
SPIRIT-WEAR
Help dress our families in Blue, White and Gold! We need assistants to help us sell and distribute spiritwear at registration night, during band camp and other events throughout the season.
FOOD/SUPPLIES
Donations of food or supplies for band camp, football games, and competitions are always welcome. Requests for specific snacks and beverages will be sent via emails throughout the season. These requests are typically sent with a link and include the specific items needed.
FUNDS
Donate extra funds to help defer costs and further enhance the program. Monetary donations are tax-deductible and can be made at any time via the Black Box in the Band Room. Checks should be made payable to
Archdale-Trinity Band Boosters.
BAND BOOSTER MEETINGS
Would you like a bigger voice in the Band program? Attend meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings start at 7:00 PM in the Band Room. Future planning of the program is reviewed at each meeting.
